There’s something special that happens when Drug Church is on stage. We could tell you about the grungy hardcore punk band’s ability to turn any space into a spontaneous celebration with music somehow as heavy as it is poppy, or their years of experience touring the world in bands like Self Defense Family, or how their latest album Cheer is the band’s biggest and most polished to date.
But a picture is worth a thousand words. And that’s where Madison Stern comes in.
Stern traveled with Drug Church from Fall 2018 – Spring 2019, stealing moments packed full the band’s energy and presence.
“These photos are important to me because during my time with them, I’ve found my style of photography and discovered that I want to pursue a touring career in photography and that it is achievable,” Stern said. “I also believe these photos capture how I’ve grown and how my style has grown. Enjoy!”
